trying to identify a tilt window channel balance

Question

I have multiple windows that can not open or cannot stay open. It seems to be related to the channel balance. we are having trouble identifying the window manufacturer or how to fix these issues. Plain channel

I have included two pictures. One with the channel balance in place and the other with the broken channel balance. The channel balance has a number on it of 2500 BSI LD

Thanks for reaching out to us. I believe you may have a Series 770 channel balance. But, before I give you an official recommendation, I will need some additional information from you first. Please provide us with the length of the channel balance (just the metal portion only). From there, you will then need to remove your window sash and weigh it. We will need to know that number so that we can determine the proper stamp option for you.
