trying to replace old weatherstripping

Quick Learner from Minnesota
Hi.
I cannot find any weatherstripping that looks like what I am trying to replace.
The kerf part is round and a 1/4 inch diameter. The worn out V part of the strip is thicker than the new stuff for sale in local stores! I should mention that it is 34 years old, which is the age of my house.
Hopefully you can help me and if this weatherstripping is impossible to replace, maybe you can suggest a different type of insulation around my door.
Thank you very much for your help.

Hey, Jacques. We don't have this exact foam seal. I actually don't even think it's made anymore. That said, see our 58-169. This has a nail-on flange that allows you to adjust it to the height you desire before installation. Would this work for you?

Thanks Tom for your help.

I have no doubt that my current seal is not made anymore but looking at the one you suggest, I am not sure it would work. I need a good 5/8 thickness, which the 58-169 has but have no room at all to nail the flange. Would it be possible to fold the flange and push it in the rounded kerf so it could stay up by itself?

Thank you.

Take a look at the 58-201, which has a larger head. Maybe you can thicken up the Kerf with some tape to make it hold into the Kerf cut out in the door trim.

Let us know what you think. Thanks!
