If the 55-106 is indeed what you have, I am afraid you cannot replace it with a bubble style strip. In general you have to use what your window originally had. Note that if it was designed for leaf seal, this should work as effectively as any other weatherstripping. I wouldn't say there's necessarily one seal better than the other; it comes down to your window's design. Let me know if you have any other questions.
