Hello,

The pivot shoe shown in your photo is commonly used in Certainteed windows, which would be our 15-192 used with the S170 and S171 coil springs. Please note that some customers have reported that they needed to shave the front of the shoe down to install it in their window jamb, which may have been the problem that you encountered with the Certainteed shoe that you already purchased.

We also offer a conversion video shown below that works for both Certainteed and Simonton windows that use this type of assembly. Take a look and review the full process below and see which option you'd prefer for your repair.

hello   the windows I see have markings on the locks that read Simonton...add the have 2 coils...am I correct that the coils springs attach to the pivot shoes on the side closest the inside of the room, or on the left for the left side and on the right, which is the onewe have broken, on the right side...the pivot shoes have both connection points? also...I need to remove the old coils to see what weight markings are stamped on them??? thank You

For Simonton windows, we recommend following the conversion video below. The coils can technically be attached to either side of the pivot shoe but we recommend matching the orientation of your original hardware. You'll also need to weigh the window sash to determine the strength options needed for the replacement coils since they are a different series than the original springs.
