vent lock for vinyl window

The hole dimensions are 1.0 inch high, by 1/4 inch wide. Help!

I'm not sure what to recommend. You could start by looking at our 26-106, which is somewhat common. If this is not a match, please show me a picture of your original vent lock so that we can find something better.

I snapped a pic of one open hole, and one with a vent stop still in. Does this help you choose a replacement?

It's tough to make out. Is there any way we can see one out of the window?

They break easily as they are brittle, this may be the last one but I'll try to get it out without mauling it too much! Jude

I'm afraid it's impossible to remove these without breaking them. If they are extra brittle, I'm not sure how good the remains will be for reference. That said, the only way to confirm if the 26-106 will work is by comparing its dimensions and style to the original hardware as best as you can.
