want to keep up windows #127800

Question

My windows are the original ones .. in good shape through many storms but I cannot open many of them because the inside clips have become dysfunctional.. as well as the other part(s)... it?s hard to diagnose because the window may fall out.
What parts can remedy this? .. without total window replacement? I would love to have fresh air!

Hello! You definitely don't need an all new window. It sounds like you might just need a new balance, but I'm not sure what type you have. Can you show me some photos of the inside clips you mentioned? Can you also show me as much of the balance you can? We may eventually need to see it out, but let's see what we can do without having to first. I'll give it my best shot, and at the very least it will let me know what to ask for.
