The folded over piece is 1/2". The piece that fits in the slot is 1/4".

Thanks for posting! I believe you may be able to replace your seal with either our 58-053 Kerf Mount Bubble Seal and 58-055 9/32" Bubble Seal With Angled Base. We have found that most casement windows use a seal similar to these styles, so I have confidence that they could work for your repairs.

Another option is the 58-200 Kerf Mount Sweep Seal. I have less confidence this might be a fit due to the difference in the kerf style and the thickness of the material but given the measurement of the slot, there is a chance it could work. See what you think!
