I need to replace this broken weathershield awning window operator. Can you help me find the replacement part?

Thank you for posting! We may be able to help replace this operator, but I cannot tell what you have based on this image. Can you please remove it from the window and show us a picture of it by itself? Alternatively, you can simply open the window so that we can see the arms. Either way, we need to see as much of the operator as possible. Thanks!

I've attached an image that shows the mechanism. I believe the part number for Weathershield may be Awning Operator - 972514
I appreciate your help in figuring out the part and how to get it and install it.
Thank you,
Susan

Do you have an advice or information on how to take this mechanism apart, so I can measure it and make sure the part is going to work?

Sure, check out the video below. It's a different balance, but the method of removal is essentially the same.

It measures 24" when fully extended/closed. So, it appears that you are correct and that your part# 39-348 is the correct one. Will my old crank fit this? Or do I need to order that, as well?
Thank you for your help.

Great, glad to hear it. The only handle should fit, but we don't have a gold version of this operator so it may look a little different!
