what rods do I need?

Hello. I need 2 replacement balance springs for my 26-pound single hung window sash. There was no color tip when I removed both of them. they are 3/8" diameter and the rods themselves are 28-1/2". Is this common? It is neither 28" or 29". Does it matter if I replace with either of those sizes? Thanks in advance.

Hello, thanks for writing in! For your spiral balance I would recommend going up to the S900-29. Since you don't have a color tip you will need to weigh your window sash and refer to the chart on the product page. Let me know if you have any further questions!
