which replacement channel balance?

I have a Milgard single hung (aluminum?) window with a broken channel balance (white cable is snapped). The channel balances have the code "23 5 CW CWC 9".

Is that enough info to identify the replacements?

The sash itself is approx 46x26, so pretty heavy.

I also found a small broken black plastic piece. Looks like some kind of clip. Do you know what it it's from

Thank you.

Thanks for posting! I am confident we can provide you with a recommendation for your channel balances but I'll need to see them removed from the window to determine the exact replacement. I've included two video tutorials below to use as a reference for removing/installing the balances as well how to identify them.

Regarding the plastic piece, do you know where in the window this was installed?

Thank you. I've determined that the broken plastic piece is just one of the screen pull tabs. Here are photos of the two balancers. As you can see, one has a severed cable. I measure the length of the metal part of the balancer at 24 inches. Thanks for your assistance.1

Thanks for the photos and for confirming the part. There are a few pulls tagged below that could possibly work to replace what you have. We do not have an exact replacement match but take a look to see if any of them could work.

I've narrowed your balance down to a few difference series but I'll just need to see the pulley system in the center of the balance to confirm the correct replacement. This is where the spring and the string meet in the middle.

Please also confirm the measurement for the depth of your bottom shoe.

Thanks for confirming. Your balance can be replaced with the S380-24. You can select the 2350 stamp option, which can support a sash weighing 23 to 27lbs.
