why don't my windows stay open

Question

I don't know where to start the problem is that my windows
won't stay open and it seemed to happen with many of the windows at
the same time. The windows were installed in 1996

Hello there, and thank you for contacting SWISCO. It sounds like you have a problem with your window's balances. These are spring mechanisms on both sides of your window that keep your window up when you open it. It is possible these need to be replaced; we just need to figure out what you need. If you could provide us pictures of your window balances, we can work from there.
