width and height of outside plates

A home owner from Arkansas says:
So in my process to try and fix the previous home owners shoddy install of a screen door handle, I drilled more holes and made the problem worse. I would like to cover up the holes if possible. I was wondering what the width and height is of the outside and inside plates are and do you guys have a screen door handle with bigger plates to cover up said holes?

Thank you

Hello there. Fortune favors the bold, even when it doesn't completely work out. Now, I don't know the size of these holes, and to be honest you're probably going to need to consult with a local hardware store to maybe install some plates to cover them up, because none of our screen door lock assembles are particular large and I have doubts they'll be able to do this on their own. I want you to consider our 83-006. This is a surface mounted assembly, meaning there's no cutting or anything of the door to make it work. You just need to drill holes to mount it. Let me know if you have any further questions.
