window balance ID please

In the attached picture is a style of balance I've not seen before. All I can see is the cover with the screw at the bottom. I am quoting the replacement but don't know where to start on pricing not knowing what i'm looking at. If you can direct me to what i'm looking at i can approximate price until we go out to their house. My guess is a coil balance of some sort? please help

I think the brand name on the windows is SPROUSE. Sprouse Windows. The installer had their sticker on the window and told me the vinyl windows they were installing at that time(2005) were Sprouse. I'm thinking it's some kind of cover for a coil balance in the pictures. does this help?

I'm not familiar with the Sprouse brand, so I unfortunately can't use that name to identify what you need. This is definitely a typical coil balance assembly, so we can definitely help. However in the case of coil balances, it's necessary to see a clear photo of the pivot shoe to identify the entire assembly. This is what the springs connect to and should be located in the track near the bottom corners of your sash.
The sash will need to be removed so that I can get a clear look at the shoes. Ideally, I would love to see the entire balance assembly out of the window to ensure clarity, but if that's not possible then you at least need to remove the sash and show me the shoe as unobstructed as you can manage.
