window balance indetification

Thank you for reaching out to us. This looks like a non-tilt spiral balance. These are fairly old-fashioned so getting a replacement can be difficult. Could you show us a photo of the bottom end of your balance, where it connects to the sash? Seeing an undamaged balance assembly removed from the window would be ideal. That would give us a better idea of what you have. 

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, if the bottom connection is broken then we won't be able to offer a reliable recommendation. At this stage that is the most important detail. I would triple check this window (or an identical window in the house) that may still have it.
