window balance replacement

Handy Person from St. Augustine, FL
I'm looking for a replacement for some window balances in our house. I've attached some photos I took with my phone for a better reference. I've looked through your website but haven't found an exact match yet. Any guidance you could give would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Andre

Andre, can you submit a photo of the other balance attachment? We will need to see it in order to make a recommendation on a balance Series.

Do you mean the other end of those same balances?? I can't seem to find those right now. Took a couple out of another window and the ends crumbled? I guess the plastic gets brittle after so many years? I'll see what I can do.

Here are a few other pics of the other end of the balance. As I said in my previous post, I'm not sure if this is the entire thing? I have six balances and the plastic end pieces seem to all crumble away during the removal process such as it is.

Thanks,
Andre

Andre, you appear to have the S390-29 Channel Balance.

Can you confirm your channel length to equal 29"?

Yes, I can confirm that the metal part is 29" from end to end. Looks closer to 30" if you include the plastic ends.

Yes, the metal portion is what counts in this situation. And with that said, it looks like you're good to go.

The S390-29 with stamp option 2830 looks like a good replacement.

Mike,
I ordered 14 of the balances you recommended. Unfortunately they don't fit quite right, or rather they do in all respects but one. The plastic piece on the bottom is 1/8" to long (deep??) I've included a photo of the new and old balances side by side. The one on the left we received from SWISCO, the one on the right is from one of our windows. The dimension I'm referring to is facing you from the picture (that's the part that's too deep by 1/8".)
So, I'm wondering if you have an alternate model that you can recommend?
Thanks,
Andre

Andre, it does appear the 15-002 Balance Shoe is a bit closer.

However, to be certain, submit a photo showing the depth of the show with dimensions. It's quite hard to accurately identify a replacement shoe without measurements.
