Question

Looking for: window balance stamp:  26 4 kv cmc 7, metal measures 27" long by 1/2 (9/16) wide. Plastic ends each have wings. This is for a non-tilt window.

Hi! It sounds like you've correctly identified your balance as an S385-27, if the information you gave is accurate. There's one thing to check, however:

Comparison of 15-004 and 15-005

The S385 has a 15-004 shoe, which measures 1-3/32" heel-to-toe. The S380 uses the 15-005, which measures 1" heel-to-toe. Measure your old shoe as shown to determine which shoe, and thus which Series, you need.

Based on your stamp, you will need a 2640 stamp option on the new balance. Let me know if you need any more info.
