window balance to match the shoe I purchased

I recently purchased 15-191 - Heavy Duty Pivot Shoe, 1/2" Thick but I realize now I also need the matching balance. Can you help me identify what is the balance that would match this shoe?

Hello,

As stated in its product description, the 15-191 is commonly used with the 1/2" wide Series 160 coil springs. However, that is not an exclusive pairing, so it is important to confirm that your springs are also 1/2" wide and not 3/8", which would be the series 165. Thanks for the reply. I havent gotten one of the balances out yet but they appear to be 1/2 inch. Follow up to that...how can I determine the spring weight I need? I dont have much knowledge with windows and threw away the pieces of metal when the window broke. I have someone coming to replace the parts I was just trying to have the correct ones here when he came.

If you no longer have the original coils, you would need to weigh the window sash that the balances support and divide the weight by the number of coils used on each side to choose the corresponding strength options.
