window balance track (rod)

Question

I have a window balance rod that has a cord, a spring, plastic pieces at each en of rod. the rod is a channel type of metal and on the spring end of it has a plastic piece with a sharp angle end, not the pulley side where the cord was attached has a plastic piece with a rounded end
it measures 29 1/4" length in total
The metal part measures 28"
