need 2 balances to replace old ones. Numbers stamped show 29-4. See attached photo. thirty inches long, metal to metal

My measurements indicate he S385-30 (2940) is probably the right size.

The bottom shoe measures 1 1/16 inches, as close as I can see. - nearly 1 3/32.

If I'm off by 1/32, maybe I can file it down a bit.

Hello,

I agree that as long as the depth of your balance shoe is more than 1", the S385-30 with a 2940 strength option would be the way to go. The fitting can wear down a bit over time, so it's not unusual for it to measure a bit shy of 1-3/32". Thanks for posting!
