window channel balancer id

Hi

I'm looking for similar parts for windows that were installed back in 1980s. I don't know the manufacturer of the window; it's a single hung aluminum frame type and the bottom panel moves up / down & even swings open like a door.

The part I'm looking for is a window balancer. I can attach a few pictures to help in IDing them but not sure how to attach pics here. There is a 4 digit number etched onto the side of the bracket - which looks like 2540.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We can supply this balance, but you have a special configuration that is, to my knowledge, no longer made. We can still get it to you but it's something we have to custom assemble here in our shop. Because of this, I have to give you some homework to ensure that everything is made exactly as it should be.

To start, these balances actually have an asymmetrical construction. What that means is that the balance on the left side of the window is going to be different from the balance on the right side of the window.

One of these balances is going to have the 19-008 top and 15-025 bottom fitting, while the other is just going to have the 19-008 top. It won't have any bottom fitting whatsoever.

Additionally, these two balances will have different stamps. You gave the 2540 stamp already, but I will need to know whether this goes on the balance that has both fittings, or if it goes on the balance that only has one fitting. I'll also need to know what the stamp reads for the opposite side.

Hopefully that all makes sense. Please let me know if you'd like clarification on any point and I will do my best to assist.
