window channel length

A quick learner from sausalito, Ca says:
how do i know what length to use on window channels . they were replaced years ago . but never worked correctly. now they all have sprung..

Thanks for contacting us. When measuring your channel balance, you want to make sure that you are measuring the metal portion of the balance only. I am going to place a tutorial video for your review below that may offer some additional assistance with your balances. If you would like for us to help locate a replacement, I invite you to send us some photos of the balance removed from the window. Be sure to include measurements, and any stampings/markings you may find on the actual balance.
