window coil balance replacement

Home Owner from Columbia SC
I need to replace the coil balances (both right and left) for 8 windows that are 25 years old. I need help identifying the correct parts
4 windows are 17 lb weight each and 29 inches high.
4 windows are 20 lb weight and 35 inches high.

All 8 windows are tilt windows.

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. The 15-180 pivot shoe looks like a match. This uses the Series 190 coil springs. Can you confirm the total number of springs each window sash uses? I see there is a double coil support and a single coil support but I'm not sure which one belongs to the 17-pound and 20-pound window sash.

Hi Emily,
The balance for the 17 lb window has 1 coil.

The balance for the 20 lb one has 2 coils.

I need the entire package (upper and lower plastic parts and the coils) for both sides.
Thanks,
Csilla

Thank you kindly for confirming! For the 17-pound window, you can use one S190-940 9-pound spring on each side of the window. This would total 18 pounds of overall support which should still work as long as the coil weights are within a pound of the sash's actual weight. See the 15-186 single coil support clip.

For the 20-pound window, you can use two S190-540 5-pound springs on each side of the window. 10 pounds of support on each side would total 20 pounds of overall support. See the 15-181 double coil support clip.

Please note that all of these parts are sold separately as we do not offer kits.
