Home Owner from Cleawater, Florida

Hi

My name is Brian Swift..I reside in Clearwater, FL...after Hurricane Milton, my wife and I notice the guest bedroom window was force opened. when we turned the handle to try and close..it wouldn't close..it can open it, so we have to push it closed. unfortunately it doesn't stay shut... to so I'm hoping if its just a matter of replacing the whole window operator mechanism..so i was looking for suggestions on the replacement..I tried to remove the box to see if there were any numbers or name but couldn't..hope the pictures help, if not i'll look at the other windows to see if theres some ref

i notice when the handle comes off..the 'drill bit' is stuck in the handle and I'm not sure if that's supposed to happen

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but since the spline the handle attaches to is broken, the entire crank will need to be replaced. We'll need to see your assembly fully removed from the window so the arms that connect to the internal linkage are fully visible to narrow down your replacement options. See the video below to help you through the process. Thank you!
