window is an A & H brand

this part cracked, we tried to super glue it, didn't work. The photo shows the broken part. Since the other part of it is missing, it's difficult to identify it, not knowing what the rest of it looks like. These are original windows installed when house was built in 2000.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but I don't recognize the part shown in your photo right off the bat. Could you elaborate on its function and where it was installed in the window? If there is another window with an intact part that you could show us, that could help us determine if we can supply a part that would work in its place. Thank you!

Hi Casey,
As far as we can tell, the piece is called a pivot shoe for a tilt-in window, and it's located in the track where the window goes up and down, along with a spring.
Hope this helps, and thanks for your help!

Thanks for getting back to us. Is there another window in the house with the same type of balance that you could remove and show us? That will help us confirm if any of our replacements could work for your window.

Hi Casey,
We tried to take some photos that might better indicate what the problem is. Also, we know that a "U" shaped piece holds the "pin" in the window that enables it to tilt in for exterior window cleaning. In the photos, you can see where there is only half a "U" shape to hold this pin. We don't know exactly what the broken shoe ( if that is what it's called) looked like in its entirety, only that it needs to be a "U" shape. The first two photos (with my hands showing) are two views of holding up the broken shoe to the pivot "pin" of the window. The pin sits in the shoe (which goes into the track of the frame). The third picture is the left side of window showing the same pin as in the two previous pictures, just without holding the broken piece up to it. The final picture is showing the right side of the window with the pin sitting in the shoe which is in the track of the window frame. We didn't want to risk breaking something on the "good" side just for a photo.
Hope this helps -- thanks again!
Mike

It looks like the broken piece is part of a balance assembly that, unfortunately, we are not able to supply. If you haven't already, I would recommend reaching out to the window manufacturer directly. I'm sorry that we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
