window opener gear

Handles for this window just seemed to come apart. Can I fix this?
1 picture shows the part number inside the window frame. Other picture shows the handles (removed from the gear location).

Hey, John. It's not just the handle coming out, but the worm gear itself. This cannot be repaired or replaced, unfortunately. You will need an all new operator.

We can help, but we will need to see a photo of your complete operator mechanism in order to identify a match. Your current picture only shows the base, which is insufficient.

What is an operator? I'm guessing I need to take a picture when the window is open? Are there key dimensions I need to measure?

Hey, John. The operator is the opening mechanism itself. It's what the handle and worm gear fell out of. Opening the window would be a huge help, we basically just need to see as much of it as possible.

We don't need dimensions now, and we may not need them at all. I'm pretty good at eyeballing these but if I do end up needing them then I'll need to see what to ask for, first.

Oops, forgot to add: The pictures of the operator are for the mating window. The original broken window has hinge on right, opens left side. The picture of the operator has hinge on left, opens right side.

The operator you show here looks like our 39-032, which means the opposite side is our 39-031. Just make sure the dimensions we show on its product page are the same as yours.
