window part(s) that make it possible for the window to go up and down

Home Owner from Windham-Gorham
We are trying to fix this window which does not go up & down. you can slide it up but then some strong object or sturdy glass bottle has to be used to prop it up. Not sure what the part is called - maybe a pivot bar receiver? that's what the Home Depot employee told us. The photo shows the part in the track after we removed the window completely. Thank you for any help!

Hey there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. The part you're searching for is called a pivot shoe. With that said, our 15-087 looks like a comparable match. This is used with the Series 180 coil springs. Take a look and see what you think.

If I need both the Pivot Lock Shoe and the spring retainer (?) would I need to buy these in one set or separately? The windows are American Craftsman by Anderson Corp. I took a photo of one of the other windows that is not broken. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

By springer retainer, do you mean the 15-086 tandem housing? This part is sold separately from the 15-087. I hope this helps.
