window sash channel balance

Question

The balance length is 18" and the spring strength code stamped on the side is 1710. I've looked at tops and shoes in your catalog. The closest shoe seems to be 15-004; the closest top seems to be 19-034. But I'm not so sure on either of those, especially the top.

Hello! I agree, the 15-004 looks to be the bet match for the bottom fitting. Just make sure that yours is 1-3/32" deep. It's a bit hard to tell from this photo what its exact size is, but that does seem right.

As for the top fitting, what you have here is just an old version of the 19-005. With that in mind, our Series 385 should work perfectly fine.
