window seal replacement

Question

I have Kolbe and Kolbe casement windows (house built 1989). along the bottom of the frame sill is an additional seal. It is a U shaped channel with a double barb on one leg of the U and a bubble seal on the outside of the opposite leg. See photo. Each edge of the U is about 5mm. The U chanel sits upside down with the barbed leg inserted down between the inside wood and the outside aluminum cladding.The bubble leg is on the outside of the frame so the window closes against it. Any help locating this type of seal would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we do not sell a replacement for the window seal shown here. I'm afraid the shape is too different. We can't make any promises but you could try consulting a mom-and-pop hardware shop, somewhere with history. They might be familiar with this type of seal used in the area.
