window strip pile for vinyl windows

Home Owner from Boston, MA
Hello! I noticed our windows that came with the house (likely at least 20 years old) have lost their pile seal stripping. I have two that are 32.5" wide, and one that's 26.5" and one that's 30" wide. I can't get a good read on the width of the stripping itself since it's so small, but it seems to have just a small plastic strip holding it into the window (not a T shape, but a | straight line going into the window with the pile coming off of that, if it makes sense. LMK if you need more info, but looking to replace with the closest thing that will fit a window like this. Thanks!

Hi there!

I believe your pile weatherstripping should have a "T" base like the ones we carry. You'll need to raise and tilt in the bottom sash and try to slide out the rest of the weatherstripping from the window channel. Once you have an undamaged sample removed, write out the pile height and base width. Those measurements will help us narrow down some options. Take a look at the related media guides on this page on how to measure.

That sticker unfortunately does not tell me anything about the wool pile used on your windows. In order to assist you, we will require an undamaged sample as requested previously. Please let me know if that would be possible.
