1" square space for vent latch...parts were missing when we moved in. not sure if this would be right? SASH VENT LATCH

Hello,
We can't say for sure without seeing the original vent latch but the cut out in your sash indicates that you might need something closer to our 26-338. Take a look and see if the specifications might work for you.
I'd also recommend checking the other windows in the house to see if there is an intact latch that you could use for comparison. Thanks for posting!
