Hi, I cannot find a mark or brand. House build 1964, suspect all painted over. They seem to be springs. I would like to know if possible to replace parts so that they can stay open, or for that matter what might be wrong. I would rather not replace all the windows. I have not taken apart as I am worried about getting it back together. Thanks. Al

Hello,
I can't be sure based on your photos if the jamb liners are designed to use naked springs of if there are spiral balances installed inside them. If they use naked springs, unfortunately, that is not something that we can supply but a local millwork may be able to supply replacement jamb liners for your window.
If there are balances inside the jamb liner, we would need to see an intact assembly fully removed from the window. We would also need to confirm the housing tube length and diameter to narrow down your options. Thank you.
