windows open and fall

Question

Hi,

After the window is opened, it cannot be hold there, it will fall off and close. Is the balance broken? Please advise me buy the parts to fix it.

Hello,

I agree that it sounds like your balance springs are broken and no longer able to support the window sash. It looks like you have a pivot housing assembly similar to the 15-087. If so, you can use the Series 180 to replace the original springs. I'd recommend removing your assembly to confirm that the specifications match the information shown on our product pages.
