wool pile replacement

I recently purchased items number 58-002 and 58-021 for replacement wool pile for my storm windows but it didn't fit. It appears that the original wool pile base was not very thick and sort of looked like a canvas material and that the items purchased would not fit due to the thickness of the base of your wool pile. Any suggestions for replacement?

Could you confirm the size of your wool pile? Specifically, I need to know the width of the base and the height of the pile. Thanks!

3/16" x 3/16" like a bought and quoted. But the problem is that that the plastic base thickness that the wool is attached to is too thick (compared to the canvas type of wool pile base previously shown in my picture.)

A few years back when we where manufacturing storm windows, we also used wool pile with cloth backing. Over the years we switched to the newer nylon backing that they make, but without any noticeable difference. I'm not sure why you're having trouble replacing yours. If you can, try using a Utility knife and run the blade down into the wool pile groove see if that helps. Maybe the knife will open up the groove. Also try some lubricant like WD-40, that might help, as well.
