One of the balances broke on a window

The cord broke on the balance on the right-side of my window (looking at it from the inside fo the house). As shown in one of the photos, it says 25 4 LJ Caldwell but because the house was built in 1978, I don't know if it is still available.

Thanks for posting. This looks like either an S380-26 or S385-26, depending on the depth of the bottom nylon shoe. See below. Measure your old balance's shoe depth to see what matches best. For a stamp option choose 2540.

Thanks Bob! I measured it and it is 1-1/32 so is s385. I'm going to go ahead and order two of them, one to replace broken one and one to replace the others side so they are the same.

Sounds good! We recommend typically replacing both balances in a window at the same time anyway; it's like AA batteries for a remote, if you mix an old and new one, the new one will stress and wear out faster. Let us know if you have further questions!
