Replace Millard sliding glass door lock

Question

My current lock automatically locks when door is closed from outside. Thus I could get locked out.The sliding door is 1and 1/2 inch thick and the slot where the lock sits is almost 6 inch length
what is the part # I should order to replace the current lock.
Do yo provide any instructions to replace the lock

Hello,

We can't be positive with the mortise lock still installed, but yours is similar to the 82-268B, which is commonly used with the 82-080 handle set. We do not have a video on this particular lock, but it does require removing the door trim covering it to remove the installation screws. Thanks for posting!
