Patio door Handle and Latch Replacement

You have an older style Milguard patio handle. It has the mounting holes similar to the 82-080 which uses the 82-269 mortise lock with the center latch hole. 

However, looking at your photos, it appears that your door has the 82-218 mortise lock with the offset latch hole, which goes with the 82-030 with 3-15/16" installation hole center spacing. To get started, take a look at which latch lever you now have. Is it the 82-240 or the 82-106? 

If it is the 82-106 lever, then you will need to use the 82-030 handle set and drill new mounting holes at 3-15/16". Take a look at all the suggested hardware and videos on this page and see what you think.

To start over, why do you need to replace your handle set? Is it that the internal mortise latch is not working properly? If that is the issue, I would recommend the 82-218 to fix your door. If you do want to replace the handle, one idea would be to use your existing lever with the 82-080. I can't be exactly sure, but it might fit with the new handle set. If not, you will need to use the 82-030 handle set and drill new holes, lining up the lever latch to the internal mortise lock.
