spiral balance install

A home owner from Pearcy, AR says:
Richard Neal, spiral balance install
How do I install the spiral balance to this window?
It appears my bracket may be similar to your number 13.
Which appears to screw in from the side, instead of the bottom.
I have ordered (2) spiral balance S400?30.
If I put them in from the top, I have to bend the aluminum shaft to get it to fit. Is there another way?
Thanks in advance for your time and advice.

I'm afraid there isn't any other way. These window sashes weren't designed to come out, which is normally how it works. Your window manufacturer would rather you pay for a whole new window instead of just one replacement part, so they don't want to make it easy.

Unfortunately, the only way you can do it is to try to snake the balance into place from the top of the sash. There's not really any trick to it beyond that. I apologize for the inconvenience. That's just how these windows are made.
