1" T-LOCK BALANCE SHOE, OPEN CAM??

Markings on part needing replacement:

IT APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO PART 15-194, BUT OPEN CAM. I'M NOT SURE HOW I WILL REINSTALL THE SASH IN A CLOSED CAM SHOE. HELP ME PLEASE!

Our 15-194 is similar, however it will not fit in your metal channel since it lacks that deep slot. I'm afraid the only option we can provide at this time is to replace the whole balance with our Series 795.

Keep in mind that the Series 795 comes with a 1-1/4" wide shoe by default, so you will still need to purchase the 1" wide 15-194 separately. It's als important to note that the Series 795 opens at the top using a screw tab, not a hook. If yours uses a hook, let me know.

Hi. I am looking to replace the same shoe as in the above for a Ply Gem window. Replacing the entire balance as you suggest will require the clip at the top vs the screw. Do you recommend replacing both sides at once? I am selling my house and would like to only replace what is necessary. Please advise on recommended parts and costs. The stamp on the metal channel is 28C.

Yes, you will need an all new balance. We do recommend replacing both sides at once. I will email you a special order link and price for 2 of these balances now.
