1/2 inch, 18" long channel balance from a 2000's Milguard window

A home owner from Portland, Oregon says:
Hello!

The cord in our channel balance just broke the other day and I'm struggling to pinpoint which specific balance this is.

It's a 1/2" (or 9/16") channel, 18" long, with the markings "17 4 AT Caldwell".

The inside of the fixed part of the glass window itself has the markings "0315 305443.003 DSCLMG5 08MAY2000" so obviously the window was manufactured on the 8th of May, 2000.

Let me know if you need more photos or info!

Thanks!
Darin

Hi Darin. This appears to be either our S380-18 or S385-30. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe. See the picture below that illustrates the difference. In either case, for a stamp option choose 1740.

A home owner from Portland, Oregon says:
Thanks for the help! That distance in your photo measures 1.08" on my balance using digital calipers, and 3/32" is 0.09", so that means S385.

Thanks again!
