1965(ish) Peachtree sliding glass door keeper

Quick Learner from Jamestown NC
Hey guys. I'm having a lot of trouble finding replacements for these keepers, half of which have been deformed or destroyed over the life of the doors. We have two sets of these doors in our home. Each door is 48" x 80". Our home build year is 1965, and I can only assume that these doors were original to the home. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello, thank you for posting,

I am not sure we can help with this style of keeper. To further review, are you able to show us pictures of the lock on the door that engages with this part? From there we can get a better idea of the overall style. Thank you!

No problem, Lauren. I've attached a few images of the lock mechanism. It looks to be a standard "hook" style, although these particular doors have the hook hidden inside the door frame to receive the "male style" keeper on the inside of door frame.

Thank you,

Unfortunately after further review, we are not able to provide an exact match for this lock keeper. The best we can supply is seeing if you could convert to a surface mount handle like the 82-005 style. It has a 4-15/16" installation hole spacing so it may require drilling new installation holes being careful to not come in contact with the glass.

You would also need to make sure there is enough room to install the keeper to the jamb. We cannot guarantee this will work, but take a look at the video below and let us know what you think!
