Product Description

Patio sliding glass door handle set. Installation hole centers: 4-15/16". Separate lock inserted into base permits instant reversibility; surface mounted; no mortising required; a fixed anti-lift key which projects from lock base and engages a second slot in keeper. This assures alignment of lock bolt into keeper and, when locked, resists unauthorized entry by outside manipulation of sliding panel to disengage lock hook; retracts to unlocked position if the door is closed with the hook extended. Includes keeper and installation fasteners.

I believe I have Surface Mount Sliding Door Handle Assembly 82-005; my door is from 1970 the company on the Door Handle is Alenco the picture looks exactly like what I have. I would like to see if there is another door Handle Assy I could switch this out for that would have a key lock? ... (cont.)

on product code 82-005, my handle locking mechinism is the opposite of your photo shown for product code 82-005. Will this work on my door handle lock if it is the oppoiste from what you are showing? Thank youMichael

I had to find someone with a camera so I could show you what I'm running into and ask for your help. Attached is one of the 3 handles installed that I need to replace. The inner handle is fine but the outer (keyed) plastic is chipping away from the sun and weather on all 3 handles. By looking at ... (cont.)
