1978 Canadian Patent No. 919213 Lock assembly...also a Number at bottom: 3596954

A quick learner from Iowa says:

Everything looks identical to your lock except the outside measurement of the lock body itself measures 1/2 inch. the face plate of the lock assembly body measures 3/4 th inch. the measurement for the screw mounting holes is right on at 3 9/16th

Does this seem ok for my use? I look forward to your answer and thank you.

Hello, Harvey. I'm not sure which of our products it is you're referring to. When I looked up those codes you shared, I saw that our 82-225 is commonly associated. Is this the one you were looking at?

If so, then based on the dimensions you've given then I don't think this is the right part for the job. Yours sounds like it's just a little too big. These have to snap into a fairly precise cavity in the handle so I think these kind of differences are a deal breaker.

You may want to consider replacing the entire handle set. The 82-225 itself is used on our 82-005; I don't know if this is what you have, but it's at least worth considering for now.

Thanks Tom for your response. What is shown here is totally different. I think what I ordered will be ok! Thanks much, sir and have a great day
