1990 Eagle Casement window crank operator system

Question

The crank worm gear is disengaged from turn gears.  I assume the crank worm gear cannot be fixed?  So, entire operator must be replaced?  Left and right.

Hi there, thanks for writing in. When the worm gear separates like this it means the gears are stripped and you are correct that a new operator would be in order. It looks like you could have either our 39-031/39-032 or 39-155/39-156. You will need to review their dimensions and compare them to your own to determine the appropriate part.
