2 point sliding door lock and handle

A quick learner from Simsbury CT says:
The locking mechanism isn't functioning correctly.
Do I need to replace the inside part or the entire thing?
What parts do I need.

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for posting. Try flipping the mortise lock 'manually' with a slotted screwdriver. If the lock doesn't budge, then its definitely broken and needs to be replaced. See our 82-265. If the mortise lock is able to flip, then the problem is with your handle set. See our 82-086. Let us know what you think.

A quick learner from Simsbury CT says:
The lock works sometimes using the handle and other times I have to press the button on the mortise to get it to work.

It sounds to me then it would be best to replace the mortise lock. Let us know if you need anything else, and thanks for reaching out.
