Hello there. I see you went ahead and purchased the S380-29, with a stamp option of 2840. I agree--if the metal channel is 29", and if the depth of the bottom shoe is 1", then the Series 380 should be what you need. Furthermore you original stamp of 28D correlates with our stamp option of 2840. Let me know if you have further questions.
