Hi Mike,

Thanks for your post! I'm happy to recommend a replacement balance for the one you have but it is very likely they will need to be a custom assembly. Especially given the size of the shoe.

To determine the correct replacement, I will need to see a photo of the balance removed from the window. I'll need to see the top and bottom attachments from the balance as well as any other attachments that could possibly be left behind in the window channel.

The stamp your balance has is not common and it is not something we can cross-reference. That said, I'll need to know the exact weight of your sash as well.

Hey Jasmine, hope you are doing well. Just getting back to this project.
Attached below are photos of the 24" length, both ends and clip.
Total sash weight is 9lbs, channel is stamped BSI 2315. All my lifts on other windows have the same clips etc. Looks like only length is different.
Nothing else is left behind in the window channel.
Pls let me know what you find out, I have gotten an offer on my house and need these windows fixed to close on the house! I will definitely be using fastest shipping! Thanks Mike

Hi Mike,

Jasmine is out of the office, but let me assist in the meantime!

With the 7/8" deep shoe, you will need the Series 378 channel balance. This used to be a custom assembly, but we have now added this configuration to our normal stock since last time we spoke.

Please see the S378-24 channel balance. For a 9 pound sash, you can either use a 2310 stamp that can support a 5-9 pound window sash or a 2320 stamp that can support a 9 to 15 pound sash. Since your sash weight falls between two options, either can be chosen.

Also see the 16-002 take out clip if needed for installation. This style is commonly used with this balance, but I would still recommend comparing the part to an identical window to confirm the right style.
