Hi there!

Thank you for waiting during this busy season. The metal channel should measure 27" long, based on your stamp. Can you double-check that for us? We would also like to see an image of the inside of the balance’s metal channel, where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism; this connection is located in the middle of the channel.

You are correct. It is 27".

Thank you! Based on the photos and information given, I recommend the S380-27 or S385-27 channel balances. The important difference is the depth of the bottom shoe, as shown below. You can also select the 2640 stamp option.

It looks like the S385 is the proper relacement. Do you also sell the clips for the windows that the balancer rests against?

How do I know that sash weight in order to know the stamp option?

Are you referring to the take out clips? If so, see if the 16-002 matches what you need. If you need the top sash guide, we'll need to see photos of one in good condition removed from the window sash.

You can also select the 2640 stamp option based on your old stamp. A pair of balances with this stamp will support a sash weighing 19 to 26 pounds.
