Howdy. I need a few of these. They are 27" not including the plastic ends. There is a metal spring connected to string pulley system. I have pictures.
My home was but in 2008 by KB homes but the window and this piece of equipment have no markings I'm aware of. (The metal lock does have the letters ABC)

Thanks for writing in. See our S380-28 or S385-28 Channel Balances. The only difference between these two Series is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. With the Series 380 the depth of this nylon shoe is 1", whereas with the Series 385 it is 1-3/32". Compare with your own and see what is best.
Once you know which balance to select, you must choose a stamp option. Look for a stamped code on your balance's metal channel that indicates the stamp option. If there is no stamp code, or if you are uncertain, weigh your window sash. You can then match that precise weight with one of the weight ranges listed alongside each stamp option on the product page.
