I'm afraid that would not be the correct replacement balance. The Series 385 channel balance is a non-tilt balance that has a winged top and a winged bottom shoe, with a depth of 1-3/32". The hook on that balance is installed just above the shoe, where the wheel and pulley system is installed.

How to measure the length of the Series 385 channel balance.

Since your balance has the 15-198 hook at the top of it, it is more likely that this is for a tilt window. Therefore, the S385-27 will not install properly.

I'll need to see the bottom attachment from the balance marked with the 27C to identify the proper replacement. It could be likely that it is still in the window channel.
