28 3 dv cmc 7

Hello I need to replace two window channel balances. The print on them is 28 3 dv cmc 7, the metal part appears to measure 29 inches though.

(I am relatively unfamiliar with window channel balances so the 28 print versus the 29 inch measurement is confusing me) The window weighs around 40 lb.

I'd love help identifying a replacement! Thank you!

We can assist with replacements, but to further review, we will need to see the balance removed where we can see clear images of the top and bottom nylon attachments.

We will also need to see a picture of the inside of the metal channel where we can view the connection point between the spring and pulley system. From there we can narrow down the correct series for your window. Thank you!

Hello, thank you for posting,

With these attachments, please see the Series 395 channel balance as a replacement. Take a look at the S395-29 balance.

Are you able to double check the weight of the window sash? The original 28 3 stamp indicates the spring tension is rated to support a 16-23 pound window sash. This balance strength would not support a 40 pound window. Let me know to move forward!
